Professional Licensing & Vetting

Pursuant to Section 7 of MCL 257.2107, section 7. To ensure the highest level of security for our clients, all drivers and vehicles undergo the following:

Background Checks: Every chauffeur undergoes an annual local and national criminal background check.

Driving Record Verification: We perform annual reviews of driving records to ensure a history of safe operation.

Vehicle Safety: All vehicles used in our service are subject to annual safety inspections by state-licensed mechanics to ensure they meet the rigorous standards of MCL 257.2131.

Commercial Insurance

We maintain premium commercial liability insurance that meets or exceeds the requirements of MCL 257.2121, including:

• Combined Single Limit (CSL) coverage for bodily injury and property damage.

• Full Personal Protection and Property Protection insurance as required by Michigan law.

Non-Discrimination & Service Animal Policy

In compliance with MCL 257.2145, Grand Traverse Rides does not discriminate against any passenger on the basis of destination, race, color, national origin, religious belief or affiliation, sex, disability, or age. We fully accommodate all qualified service animals and do not impose additional charges for passengers with physical disabilities.

Pursuant to MCL 257.2139, Grand Traverse Rides maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of drugs or alcohol by our drivers while providing transportation services.

If you have reason to suspect your driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol during your trip, please request that the driver stop the vehicle in a safe location immediately.
